Nelson & Kootenay Lake

Nelson is where culture meets outdoor adventure. This small city (approximately 10,000 residents) boasts more restaurants per capita than San Fran. Nestled on the shores of Kootenay Lake, there’s a distinctive vibe created by the area’s remoteness. The lake itself branches in three arms and with fjord-like vistas. Small towns sit by the water, while hot springs beckon you to their relaxing waters.

Slocan Lake and Arrow Lake to the west also offer a stunning combination of quiet villages and waterfront views.
